General Help

Fingerprint-related issues

01 Question: When I was adding a fingerprint, it kept prompting that the verification failed, and I couldn't successfully register the fingerprint. What's going on and how can I solve this problem?

Reply: If the fingerprint verification fails during the addition process, it may be due to stains on the fingerprint collection area, unclean fingers, or unclear fingerprint patterns. You can use a clean soft cloth to wipe the sensor, clean your fingers, and keep them dry, free of sweat and oil stains. If your fingerprints are naturally shallow or the patterns are not clear, you can press **65465411# in the factory mode to switch to the "flat finger mode" for fingerprint registration. If it still doesn't work after multiple attempts, please contact the after-sales staff for assistance.

Password-related issues

01 Question: I've forgotten the password of my safe. How can I reset the password?

Reply: You can reset the password through system initialization. After unlocking the device, press and hold the initialization setting button for 8 seconds. Release it when you hear the power-on sound effect. When you hear the voice prompt "Factory reset successful", all fingerprints and passwords will be cleared, and the settings will return to the default state. After that, you need to add fingerprints and passwords again.

02 Question: How can I set a virtual password? Are there any tips to make better use of it to improve security?

Reply: When setting a virtual password, add no more than 20 meaningless digits before and after the correct password, and then press the # key to unlock. To enhance security, it is advisable to add different digits before and after each time you enter the virtual password, so that it is difficult for others to guess your real password by observing the pattern of the entered digits.

03 Question: I entered the wrong password when adding a password, and I haven't pressed the # key to confirm it. How can I correct it?

Reply: If you haven't pressed the # key to confirm, if there is a "Delete" or "Clear" key on the device, press this key to delete the last entered digit, and then re-enter the correct one. If there is no such key, for some models, you can press the * key or the "Cancel" key (however, it is recommended to use the virtual password technology. Instead of canceling, just continue to enter the correct password). If you are still not sure how to operate, you can close the safe door first and re-enter the process of adding a password to avoid adding the wrong password.

04 Question: How many digits can the password of the safe be set to?

Reply: Generally, different models of safes support a 6-digit numeric password. When setting a password, it is recommended to set a password that is not easy to be guessed, which will provide higher security.

Device Usage and Fault Issues

01 Question: My safe has been locked. Besides waiting for 15 minutes, is there any other way to unlock it?

Reply: The device is locked for 15 minutes to prevent forced unlocking and ensure security. There is no other way to unlock it during this period, and you can only wait for the countdown to end. It is recommended that you carefully confirm before operating when unlocking with a fingerprint or password to avoid the device being locked due to multiple incorrect attempts.

02 Question: After I replaced the batteries, the safe can no longer work properly. What's the matter?

Reply: First, check whether the batteries are installed correctly. You need to install 4 brand-new AA alkaline batteries according to the positive and negative electrode directions marked on the battery cover. If the positive and negative electrodes are reversed, the device will not work properly. If the batteries are installed correctly, it is possible that the new batteries have insufficient power or there are quality problems with the batteries themselves. You can try replacing them with a new set of batteries. If the problem is still not solved, contact the after-sales personnel for maintenance.

03 Question: Can the safe be unlocked using both a fingerprint and a password at the same time? Is this more secure? If so, how do I set it up? What should I do if I forget the password after setting up the combined unlocking method?

Reply: Yes, it is possible. After entering **551# and verifying as an administrator, you can switch to the combined unlocking mode. After turning on this mode, both the fingerprint and the password need to be verified successfully before the device will be unlocked. If you forget the password in the combined unlocking mode, you need to restore the factory settings (after unlocking the device, press and hold the initialization setting button for 8 seconds), and then reset the password and add the fingerprint again.

04 Question: Can the sound prompt of the safe be turned off? How do I operate it?

Reply: Yes, it can be turned off. Enter **554# on the device, and you can turn the volume on or off.

05 Question: How many fingerprints and passwords can this safe store at most?

Reply: This safe can store up to 50 fingerprints and 10 six-digit passwords.

Power Supply-related Issues

01 Question: I want to use a power bank to supply power to the safe. Are there any requirements for the remaining power and output power of the power bank? Can a mobile phone adapter be used to supply power to the safe?

Reply: For common power banks and mobile phone adapters, as long as there is still a certain amount of remaining power and the output voltage and current meet the standards of the safe's interface (Micro-USB or TYPE-C) (usually with a voltage of 5V), they can be used to supply power to the safe and turn it on. However, to ensure stable power supply, it is recommended that you use products from regular brands.

02 Question: What is the USB port on the side of the safe's keyboard for?

Reply: When the battery of the safe is exhausted, this USB port can be used as an access point to charge the household safe with an external battery pack.

03 Question: How long can the battery in the safe's keyboard last? How often does it need to be replaced

Reply: The battery can usually last for 18 to 24 months. However, for the sake of safety, it is recommended to replace the battery every 12 months. All safes use 4 AA batteries.

04 Question: If the battery of the digital keyboard runs out of power, how can I open the Saga safe?

Reply: The Saga is equipped with a manual backup key, which can be used to open the safe when the battery is exhausted. It is recommended to replace the battery every 12 months and keep the key outside the safe.

Installation and Usage Scenario Issues

01 Question: I don't plan to use my safe for a long time. Do I need to take out the batteries?

Reply: If the safe is not going to be used for an extended period, it is recommended to remove the batteries. This can prevent battery leakage from corroding the internal components.

02 Question: Can the Saga safe be installed on wooden furniture? What should I pay attention to during the installation?

Reply: The Saga safe can be installed on wooden furniture, but the wooden furniture must have a sturdy structure and be able to bear the weight of the safe. When installing, use the bolt kit included with the safe and follow the instructions. If the wood is relatively soft, you can place a metal shim at the installation location to prevent the safe from loosening.

03 Question: Can I store magnetic hard drives, magnetic cards, and electronic products in the safe for a long time?

Reply: Yes, you can. Magnetic hard drives, magnetic cards, and electronic products can all be placed in the safe for long-term storage.

Issues Related to Tuya Bluetooth and the APP

01 Question: If I connect the safe to the Tuya Bluetooth, what is the effective control distance?

Reply: In an ideal environment, the effective control distance for connecting the safe via Tuya Bluetooth is approximately 5 meters. However, the actual distance will be affected by many factors, such as the presence of interfering signals in the surroundings (like microwave ovens, cordless telephones, etc.) and the existence of obstacles (such as walls, furniture, etc.). Therefore, when using it, try to keep the mobile phone and the safe within the effective distance and avoid having too many obstacles in between.

02 Question: I connected the safe with Tuya Bluetooth, but the connection was interrupted. How can I quickly reconnect it?

Reply: First, check whether the Bluetooth on your mobile phone is turned on. If it is already on, enter the safe device page in the APP and click the "Reconnect" button. If this method doesn't work, power off and then power on the safe again, and press and hold the Bluetooth pairing button to make it enter the pairing state. Then, perform the pairing connection operation again in the APP. If you still can't connect after trying many times, it may be that the Bluetooth module is malfunctioning. In this case, you can contact the after-sales customer service.

03 Question: Through Tuya Bluetooth, what operations can be performed on the safe using the APP?

Reply: With the help of Tuya Bluetooth, the APP can perform many operations on the safe, such as unlocking and locking, adding or deleting fingerprints and passwords, checking the unlocking records, and adjusting some basic settings (such as the number of password digits, the emergency unlocking method, provided that the safe supports these functions), which can meet your daily needs for convenient management.

04 Question: When using Tuya Bluetooth and the APP to manage the safe, is the data transmission secure?

Reply: Tuya Bluetooth uses encryption technology during data transmission. The APP and the safe establish a connection through a specific pairing mechanism, and only authorized devices can perform data interaction. However, to further ensure security, it is recommended that you regularly update the APP version, do not use the Bluetooth connection in an insecure network environment, and do not casually tell others the APP login account and password.

Issues Related to the Operation Manual

01 Question: I've lost the operation manual that came with the safe. What should I do?

Reply: If you have lost the operation manual attached to the safe, you can go to the "Usage Instructions" section under "Help" on the website, select the model of your safe, and then follow the prompts to view the operation manual.
